It has been good to take pictures on God's green earth. Most of my
pictures don't turn out, but I get to walk around outside and enjoy the
aperture, ISO, and shutter-speed puzzle. I've been using fairly cheap
equipment, under $600. I use a Sony a5000 ($377) and manual lenses to
save loads of money. I have a Nikon 100 - 300mm ($150), a Canon 70 -
200mm ($50), and the 16 - 50 mm that came with the camera (automatic).
My father-in-law also gave me two Minolta lenses he bought over 40 years ago: a 28mm wide angle and a 200 mm.
I know some of my pictures aren't great, but I've added them because I like them and they are good enough for me.
A huge thanks
to my friend Murray, Mr. Miyagi of photography, for helping and being
patient with me as I continue to figure all this out.
Below are some stunning images taken by professional photographers with professional equipment.
